So many dogs at risk of being pts
The local pound (where we got Maddie from) is brimful and desperate to find homes/fosterers/rescue places for some of the dogs before they have to be pts.
Wild Acre Rescue are kindly 'advertising' them. There are several staffies that have been in the kennels for weeks and are likely to be pts. If you know ANYONE who is looking for an adult dog to rehome please point them in the direction of http://wildacrerescue.co.uk/ particularly their North Bristol dogs (details on their FB page).
There is a lovely little staffy called Gary, who is a darling, then there is Rosie the staffy, who is adorable.
If we hadn't taken Maddie she would be top of the pts list (which is why we have her now), but we just CANNOT have another dog at the moment.
I know every rescue is full to bursting, but these little darlings are so lovely and in need of a second chance

Same here.
We found out after we signed the adoption papers that Dex would have been pts. My heart went cold and I sobbed with relief and then immediately my thoughts went to all the other poor dogs

I know what you mean. Taking on more dogs than you can deal with helps no-one. I think we are one-at-a-time owners too. I just wish the people that had the dogs in the first place had thought about it properly

Oh yes, we look at Maddie, lying all curled up on the rug, and our hearts ache at the thought of her being pts just for being unwanted.

There seems to be a never-ending supply of unwanted dogs. But I must admit, the thought of being able to take several of them on and into a caring home environment is very appealing.
The poor lady in charge is in fear of the council finding another dog as they will HAVE to free up a kennel at that point...
