One for the Ladies with Lady dogs
Apologies if this is TMI for the lads but a genuine question
Beryl has been a right royal pain in the butt today, just like the first few days she was here, nipping at my face, attempting to grab hold my of my arm in her jaw, trying to nudge me off the sofa, all the signs I was told to look out for when she was trying to oust me as top dog......
On what I think it a related matter, today is my first day of my lady time! Could it be she can sense it and is using it as a sign of possible weakness to oust me?
Anyone else had experience like this? Or should I just step away from my animal behaviour text books?!

OK I like to keep an open mind on these matters, maybe she can pick up on it, I guess we would give off a different scent during this time which a dog would easily pick up on ?????? maybe.... perhaps

I dont know but it wouldnt surprise me. They are so intuitive plus our pheromones change at that time so it would make sense that our animals pick up on this. I had a female iguana a few years ago who was a cow to me when it was my time, she really hated me for that week!

My boy seems to be a little bit more protective but not with my daughter other than that my girl doesn't change
