Re: nikon d3200 or d5100????
personally I'm not over sure about spending huge amounts on cameras,
the one I took this set with cost me £50 and I won a Uni photographic competition ( against students at the Uni who study photography and have cameras worth 10 x that amount!!)

Re: nikon d3200 or d5100????
I know that feeling some of them are shocking, I think I took about 350 shots that day and picked my top 4 and won a £10 book token ( not as exciting as it sounds when my cheapest Uni book is about £40 ( one is £97), I think sometimes people tend to pay out for all singing all dancing cameras and forget that often the best pictures are taken by accident x

i agree best pics are taken by accident but there also loads of perfect pictures that are missed due to the fact of cheaper cameras being so slow to get the shot and shutter speeds blurring images
the cameras show that iv chose are actually entry level equipment and for the money are worth the price
plus if a get a good camera the forum will be full of more shots of memphis

Re: nikon d3200 or d5100????
Have a look at the guide below, it really depends how much you want to spend and if the D5100 has been reduced as it has been around longer, the D3200 being in effect it's replacement. I would advise going into a shop and trying each one out and go with whichever feels right for you, then just check the price online, bound to be cheaper than in any shop. Please always remember RTFM (Read the *ing Manual) Nikon are also about to release the 5200, which is a 24 mp camera which can be pre ordered. Jessops would have the details
