puppy help
So whats the best way to teach a puppy to only chew her own toys & not the kids? This is something we want to be onto ASAP! Whats the best approach or what has worked for you? I obviously intend on giving her her own toys to chew, just curious how other ppl have taught their dogs what they can & cant chew, also aware that I might just get a chewer & nothing will work, god help me... lol

If the dog is chewing a specific thing she should't vicks or bitter apple should help.

The link that Kylie posted is good. The thing to remember the most though, is to be very consistent and patient. It might seem like you're making absolutely no progress at all, but you are, just takes time to show. I was thinking Loki would never stop biting, but he's loads better now, so yeah, definitely whatever method you use, keep at it

We struggle with Bruce at the mo but he's only a babe! We follow the advice on the link except we say NO sternly when he does it straight away! This is because our son is 2 and we can't wait whilst Bruce's chews his arm to see if he stops lol.
The No ! Seems too help really well

Re: puppy help
Every time it chews something its not supposed to give it something it is! Also in regard to nipping and stuff 2 or 3 minute time-outs work well. If she nips tell her no, if she carries on then lift her up and take her out of the room/in her crate for a couple of minutes (enough time for her to calm down) then let her come back in. Repeat if she bites again. Patience and repetition is the key, also be firm but dont get angry
