yes it is but it doesn't look good, it's ok for the police to have a pitbull type but not the joe public

well it's a good point for an argument if the time comes isn't it , but this story is about breed promotion and works well at that regardless of any undertones of hipocracy

Couple of points meet type but not enough to be type. Would come out tops in an assesment by dla everytime. Length and height proportions for one are wrong as are chest and neck. Head is almost there.overall wouldnt score high enough to warrent a seizure and def not worth persuing to court which would throw it out as soon as the first expert witness took the stand.

Its a police dog and there is staff in there shining the light for the breed.

Ooh he's lovely, was at the rescue centre that he came from on a training course a few months back, he's a gorgeous boy. Can definitely see the whippet in him!

Great story, I love that fact your coppers use rescue dogs That's a great idea.

Now that's great news, step in the right direction and he's gorgeous.

He's a SBT cross, they've already said that. Like many thousands of SBT crosses he could be called a 'type', but he's friendly & kept under control so no problem!

Type or not, hes still a staffie cross and its a step forward, fingers cross the next type will be a full staffie to join the police, and it will only help our staffies, be them types or not!!! Well done the police

Thats good news for SBT x. Lets hope the Police will take on more pure bred SBH's, otherwise Jo Public will get the wrong impression of what a true Staffie looks like.

You'd be surprised - staffs are also excellent agility dogs!

Now that part I do know. In fact we are starting rally for that reason.

Great News. The more breeds used for work like this the better. Then people might start thinking all breeds must be alright otherwise the poilce wouldn't use them. Then they can work out for themselves that allot of the time its their owners of the dangerous dogs that are the problem
