dogs living together nicely
i have recently added a new edition to my household lucky a 9 week old staff/amstaff had her since 4 weeks i know but trust me it was better she came with me then where she was she is my 3rd staff my first was an absolute diamond lived till twelve she lived happily with my male rotti till she passed away i then rescued a staff mix male but the two eventually had to be seperated and staffy was rehomed i now have my rotti and my little beauty lucky things are going well but she is becoming more rough with my rotti and he tolerates her quite well but then snaps but im just concerned that she doesnt seem to take his warnings or seem concerned when he snaps do you think its because she didnt learn enough from her litter mates because she left to young any advice

I would say that you've probably got a point, that she wouldnt hace learnt everything she needed to know from her mum and siblings, however I'm no expert on this but there are people on this forum who would no so will leave it to them to give you the correct answer

Re: dogs living together nicely
Hi from me and Dexter! Welcome to the forum!
I agree, I'm no expert either but puppies will certainly try their boundaries even with the correct socialisation and she may be more rambunctious if she was taken so early. If when you are playing with her she nips I suggest a loud "ow" or a yelp and turn your back arms folded and then when she calms play again and praise anything that you want to see more of. Your rottie will be teaching her too, just keep an eye obviously for any points where you need to step in if Lucky is trying her 'luck' a bit too much Looking forward to photos of your lovely dogs soon!

Re: dogs living together nicely
Hello and welcome from me and the kids . There could have been some of this from an early life but if Tommy is anything to go by then Staffs are brave idiots too and Tommy would never back down with Tilly when he was a pup , thankfully Tilly never took it past the play stage, just keep an eye on them if you're concerned and obviously don't let them alone together when you are out
