5 Mistakes to my afternoon walk Empty 5 Mistakes to my afternoon walk

Post by pongy Fri Oct 26 2012, 15:15

My walk with cassie was pretty unremarkable, she walked to heel and it was very pleasant,
Now mistake #1 ; Think ooh i will call in the butchers on the way home.
Mistake #2; Let the bag within grabbing distance of Cassie, and me being too slow to stop her.
Mistake #3;trying to walk home with Cassie carrying a bone in her mouth.trying to eat the bone and walk makes her sound like she is snarling while she was trying to breathe Big Grin
mistake #4; A couple coming the other way,the wife say's "that dog is vicious it should be muzzled or put down" angry
Mistake #5; I reacted in a way i should be ashamed of,"I said she is not as vicious as her owner say it again and find out" while i was snarling ,drooling and pulling on my invisible leash angry angry

We can't win unfortunately sometimes, when Dex carries his ball to and from the fields making all sorts of happy growly sounds he gets some looks that say "aw..look at that dog carrying his own ball" and some looks that say "is that a gag of some kind? that dog must be vicious" Admittedly the ball all squished up looks a bit weird at first glance but at second glance it's obvious what's happening!

Drives me mad!!!

i can't help wondering how they would treat a teenager taking the family staffie for a walk,i am a 44 year old misserable/grumpy old git (victor meldrew wannabe lol) and i still get grief,if the teen reacts and tells them what for they become another nail in the staffords coffin,a hoodie with a staffy and attitude. Sorry for the grump i will get off my soap box now lol

I'm shaven-headed, bulldog-faced, hoodied-up to the eyeballs, and usually walking a couple of foster staffies.

Don't usually hear peoples' comments as they tend to cross the road a good 200 metres ahead. Laughing

Loki never carries anything, so I've never had that problem, but people can be stupid, no point even reacting when you know it won't change their opinion.
