Sharing??
When Bacchus and I are having our bonding time, ( which mainly involves me sleeping on the settee and him beside me with something to chew then falling asleep ) he snuggles up and puts whatever he is chewing in my lap and chews it there, even a fresh marrowbone
It can also be a bit worrying as I don't know how coordinated his jaws are and a slip could be extremely painful in a rather delicate part of the anatomy
Is this a sign of trust/sharing? And does it mean he is not food possessive?? I sometimes sit by his food bowl while he eats to show I'm not a threat to his food and he has never shown any signs to suggest it upsets him.
P.S.
He's 14 weeks now.

Re: Sharing??
Could be. My old dog used to do that, come over and drop whatever he was chewing onto our lap, so that's sharing. Definitely a good thing that he's not food possessive we've had some problems with that with Loki, so it's great that Bacchus is willing to share

Re: Sharing??
I think it may be a trust thing, just shows he's comfortable with food around you!
When Bailey was a pup I'd sit beside him while he ate and I'd put my hand in his bowl and move the food around, he's never shown any food aggression but thought I'd be better to reinforce the fact to him !

I think it's just that they want to cuddle and chew at the same time and they are comfortable with you.

Re: Sharing??
Percy does the same, nothing better than having a teddy covered in slobber shoved in ya hand/face/lap
I think it's a sign on trust, happiness and contentment x

Yes, it's an accident waiting to happen.
