Buy Christmas cards - help rescue dogs
With thanks to Steve and the board for granting permission to post, and for their ongoing support in rehoming unwanted staffies and staffy crosses.
Animal Helpline - a rescue centre with 30 years experience in rehoming unwanted dogs, and lots of staffies on its books - is trying to raise money to buy heaters for the dogs for winter.
Although the kennels are well-kitted out by anyone's standards, retaining heat can be a problem, even in the purpose-built, commercially-built kennels.
These Christmas cards have been designed by art students at Stamford College, near Peterborough, Cambs, and all proceeds are going towards the heaters.
Animal Helpline has rehomed dozens of staffies this year, some as a result of posts on this very forum, and wants its dogs to enjoy warmth and security while they patiently wait for their forever homes.
There are four designs to choose from:
1) "Merry Christmas", with a dog's back half and tail as a design.
2) "Can you see him yet? Can you see Santa?", with two dogs looking up into a wintery sky.
3) "Merry Christmas" with a dog's face set against a backdrop of snow-covered fir trees.
4) "Go on... Make my Christmas..." with a dog facing a Christmas cracker as snow falls.
There are five cards in each pack (of the same design). Each pack costs 2.50 (pounds sterling), plus postage.
Please email lynn@dogsinmind.co.uk for more details.
(Lynn is a keen fundraiser and long-time fosterer for Animal Helpline, and has agreed to coordinate the Christmas card orders and despatch this year).
Some of Animal Helpline's staffies can be seen here: www.homes4dogs.co.uk
Thanks.

I don't think so, Caryll.
I think it's a case of emailing lynn@dogsinmind.co.uk and asking for more details.

I've already got my Christmas cards, I ordered them from Woodgreen shop so will also be helping other little friends too.

Thanks to all from this board who placed an order.
Not sure on the total amount raised yet but I understand that quite a lot of cards were sold.
