Training Empty Training

Post by cesca1 Fri Oct 19 2012, 21:17

Having been to training with Molly now for 6 weeks the trainer came up to us at the most recent class to tell us how impressed she was with Molly and staffys in general.

http://www.fidodogtraining.co.uk/ in chester, UK.

She had recently attended a day course for trainers (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and they were asked which breed they would most dislike in a class environment and apparently the majority said staff's as they make so much noise in classes! Angela, Molly's and my trainer, very much disagreed and said what a pleasure she had found the breed!

We left the class very happy Smile

Homework from class is to write her name on the floor in boring treats and make her stay sat (and photograph it), giving her a higher reward treat in return (she doesnt get any of the treats from the floor). We are doing this tomorrow so pics shall follow Smile

Cool that she stuck up for you, but I see why they said it; Loki was by far the noisiest dog in puppy classes. Not the barking, just the...squeaky whining from the over-excitement of it all Laughing. Anyway, great that you and she are doing so well in the training, and definitely put pics on here of that homework, that sounds interesting Big Grin

Molly's homework Smile

Training Molly_14

Training Molly_16

Harriot (in pic) is the daughter of our friends, her parents were extremely anti staffy until they got to know Molly Smile

Harriot now comes to training with me each week as they are thinking about getting a puppy. She used to be extremely scared of dogs as she was bitten by a collie. But now - amazing thanks to Moll !

I also use harriot as a training tool, getting Molly used to children Wink
