When was you first time.... ?
... you took your puppy outside, of course >
My Roca is 12 weeks old now, she had second injection today, but my vet said she must wait a week to go out... Its hard to keep a puppy for 5 weeks and not let her go outside... I just cant wait !
I know some people go out with a dog even after first injection. Whats your opinion ???

1 week after 2nd injection but you can still take her out just don't put her down . I used to take Tilly for a walk and put Tommy inside my jacket . Just make sure she's wrapped up warm

Re: When was you first time.... ?
It was so tempting to take him (and all my other dogs before him) out before the vet recommended, but I waited. I'd rather be safe & wait a week than sorry.
As already said, you can take him out as long as you carry him - it's a good way to get him a bit more used to the great outdoors!

Two weeks after his second injection, as the vet recommended. It was so hard not to take him out, but I didn't know at that time that you could carry them outside to get them used to it, but ah well. It's a good thing to do, get them used to all the noises

Best to take them out after the second jabs to be safe. We took Suki out the first day we had he but she was already 16 or 18 weeks

I didn't let my two walk outside until after all injections but I did take them outside carrying them

Rocky came from a rescue centre when he was about 12 months old, we were out for walks straight away, in fact we took him for a couple of walks around the rescue centre.

Re: When was you first time.... ?
took noah over highgate common today, only his second time on a lead, and he was excellent , met many springers and labs all wanting to play, he wanted off the lead , but i don't think he would listen to me when he's excited, met another staffy, what a bruiser, huge huge dog, almost pig like, too much human food?
anyway was really proud of the little guy today .

Re: When was you first time.... ?
Things are a bit different here. Going out is not an issue but it is recommended that you only socialize with other dogs after the second vaccination. Puppy classes insist on it.
