Just ordered a copy of this book direct from David Harris. It's my Christmas Present from my oh & my two kids because it's soooo expensive! $171.95 including postage!

Re: Made In Birmingham
Because it's a definitive history of the EBT by Dr David Harris (brilliant man!) and there have only been 200 printed. Of those 200 only 40 are hard back & I'm getting a hardback, signed by the author!

Re: Made In Birmingham
I'm a complete sucker for a good dog book! I've got loads that I've collected over the last 40+ years. Some are worth a bit, but others just have sentimental value.
I'm a bookaholic!

Re: Made In Birmingham
Any books signed by the author will increase in value!
But the reasons I wanted this book are 1. It's by David Harris - one of the world's foremost authorities on the Bull & Terrier breeds and 2. There are only 40 hardbacks in the whole world!

Re: Made In Birmingham
I'm sure it will be a great read for you at Christmastime. You have to be very patient now and wait.

I'm not the most patient of people, especially when there's a good book to be read............

Re: Made In Birmingham
I love books, but 99% of all the books I own are fictional. I like history and whatnot, but I have the memory of a dead goldfish, so...I don't absorb anything . Hope you enjoy it though

Re: Made In Birmingham
Oh, that's so sad, I didn't know. I've had many conversations with him, and he was a lovely man - a great loss to the dog world.Lorenzo wrote:Thanks for your reply Caryll, but Davis Harris is passed away just some days ago. Please, if you have some infos where i can find this book let me know.
I have to admit that I've only ever seen this book on sale directly from him.
