My mates at the rescue centre
First topic message reminder :
Just thought you might like to see some of my doggy mates at the rescue I foster for.
There are some right characters among them.
First up is Charlie the hairy pug/shih tsu cross.
Charlie has the looks to become a film star and it is rumoured that he is distantly related to Chewbacca.
He wears this expression constantly. His little mate Millie is in the background - she has the world's tiniest legs.
Next up are Sox and Storm, who are a closely-bonded pair of Akitas. Both are expert treat sniffers and everyone loves walking them as they are so calm and relaxed.
Then, there's Arthur thezebra lurcher. He is so relaxed and so light on the lead that it feels like you're walking air. In hundreds of miles of walkies, no one has ever seen him pull.
Ginger is up next - he's always busy working or doing something in his kennel. He and his mates look like little workmen going about their business in their kennels.
Beam is one of my favourites - an older mastiff girl but a really nice lump, too. She seems quite relaxed with her various kennel mates - they tend to come and go, while she waits. No one wants the oldies.
The fine-looking Bruno is a great boy - he likes his walks and loves his treats. He's a very obedient dog.
That's it for now - I have loads more doggy mates in the rescue but this thread is long enough already.

Re: My mates at the rescue centre
I'm 99 per cent sure that Arthur is on foster with the same lady who has Dove, the staffy with the lumps on her back.
Don't think he's been adopted by anyone.
blueribbonuk or rubyroo will know more.
I love Arthur - so chilled and relaxed.

Re: My mates at the rescue centre
If I'm right, all of these dogs, except for Silver and Banjo, have since been adopted or fostered.
Here's some of Theo enjoying himself with his excellent foster mum.

Great to hear some homes have been found for your special friends, Theo is very handsome, sadly these are one breed of dog Rocky doesn't like, something to do with their eyes I think.

Re: My mates at the rescue centre
I dug my camera out yesterday and took some pics of some of the new arrivals.
Some stunners here, and a great welcome from all.
Zumi, female GSD, about three years old.
Brittany, male spaniel, about a year old.
Crystal, female collie, about a year old.
Alena, female lurcher, about three years old.
Archie, blind in one eye but such a loveable chap.

Re: My mates at the rescue centre
Rocky looks a lot like Sausage and I've been convinced for a while that Sausage is staffy/Patterdale.
So I think you're on the right lines.

Re: My mates at the rescue centre
Babby staffy - the staffy.
He literally thinks that Resor is his mum and dad rolled into one - they groom each other and snuggle up close almost all the day.
Babby is a real hand licker and is fascinated by flappy trouser legs but doesn't seem to go for them.
Photographing him was hard work - he was into everything. ><

Zumi rehomed.
Straight in and straight out.
No surprises there - I'm surprised she managed more than 24 hours.
Cracking-looking dog.
