feeding and info for 8 week staff pup

hey just got an 8 week old staff just want some advice on feeding and genral info anyone could give me some tips hints will be great!! cheers

Hi Mozza and a warm welcome our Duke is nine weeks old we feed him on James well be loved puppy food the one with white fish, when we went to pick him up last week the breeder said he wont eat dried food , we got him home gave him some and he devoured it , inside a week he has a nice shiny coat sparkling eyes and a very good temperament.

Its a bit more expensive than food such as Bakers but i believe you get what you pay for , good luck and all the best enjoy your new puppy, ohh and some pics please

Hello and welcome to you, bet your having fun with your new pup!! We started ours on a varied diet including wet and dry. Our dry food was science plan, then we gave boiled chicken and rice. We've since incorporated Arden Grange dried and included chicken livers in with their food, also a few raw carrots and peas. Everybody has their own ideas on feeding so its very much down to you, but would definitely recommend a good quality dried. Other members will be along with their advice, I'm afraid i'm only a novice but our dogs are looking good!!

Welcome well, I've fed Loki on Wainwright's since I got him and haven't had any problems with it. But there are lots of good-quality foods you can give, just have a browse around and see what's good for you

Did the breeder not give you a feeding chart & a small supply of puppy food? If not, shame on them!

Your pup should be fed 4 times a day to start with on the best food you can afford. If you're going to feed dry food, then avoid supermarkets' own brand and anything that has different colours in it, like Bakers. Have a look at the recommended food in the links already given.

At about 3 months you can reduce to 3 meals a day, then 2 meals at 6 months.

We feed a mix of kibble and dry (brand is Verus, I don't know if you have it in the UK), usually with a few bites of something nice (leftover steak, a bit of cheese).
Don't know about raw, some members do.
