Still trying to figure this one out
Out walking a staffy that's said to be DA today.
She's on a lead and collar, a full choke lead and a harness, and is wearing a well-fitting muzzle.
Some might call that overkill, but no-one can say she's not under control.
She passes lots of dogs, doesn't react.
Then we round a corner and there's a woman with a yorkie on an extendible lead.
She looks at this apparition of staffy in bondage gear and looks horrified, quickly trying to pull the lead back in (instead of pressing the retract button, stupid woman).
DA staff walks on by - doesn't react, and I'm praising her and telling her what a good girl she is.
Suddenly I'm bitten on the back of the calf. Super-hero yorkie has charged in, with an extra 2 metres of lead the woman still hasn't reeled in, and it's gone for me.
Staffy still hasn't reacted.
I put the sole of my shoe out to give its micro-jaw something else to latch onto when this woman pipes up with: "My dog is only protecting me. Yours is clearly aggressive."
I told her she had 15 seconds to pee off before I called the police to report a dog dangerously out of control.
She burst into tears.
Moron.

I didn't know whether to laugh, or pee myself laughing.
The fact one dog is wearing a muzzle makes it ok for her's to bite me.

I'm fine.
Just a nip.
Nothing compared to the pain of getting your fingers nipped by a mastiff, which happened today when I decided to feed him treats and talk to another dog at the same time.

Re: Still trying to figure this one out
"My dog is only protecting me. Yours is clearly aggressive." OMG...punch her, just punch her . Nah, obviously you reacted to it really well. Hell, so did the Staff apparently. God, people like that are ridiculous. It's normal to be scared of a dog you see in a muzzle (particularly if you're judgmental towards Staffs). But to react that way when your own dog is out of control and allowing it to happen just because it's small? That's injuriating.
