How does your dog's coat feel? Empty How does your dog's coat feel?

Buster is a cross. The full bred staffies coats I have felt have been quite soft. Buster's coat is 'bristley'. Even though he gets quite a lot of tuna etc, and loads of cuddles and strokes, the big buggers coat is not condusive to get love, if you didn't know him.

Molly's is really soft, people always comment on how soft it is. It's a lot softer than my old collie cross, my friends collie, and my friends lab

Molly has cod liver oil tablets every day. She also has something called an 'active' tablet, which helps with her coat.

I thought I'd ask the question because I have stroked a couple of staffies and their coats were lovely and soft. Buster, who is a cross has a prickly coat (when stroked against the fur). He has a prickly look about him too, which just goes to show how deceptive appearances are

Holly is soft like velvet but she very very thin underneath almost bald. Duke is a bit courser has thick dense fur and you can hardly part it to get spot on between his shoulder blades but both shiny and healthy Smile
