Debo is alway really exited when we have friends around so thought that will put in to practice your advice and put lead on him when they arrived. Asked them ignore him,sit down and stroke him only when he calmed down. They did as asked( trained very well),when they were sittin on the sofa I came with DEbo to say hello,he tried once, when correct behave goog. After few minutes I let him of the lead and he was fine with the adults. Now the tricky bit. They came with a 11mnths old baby. He was fine with ,when we told him off for licking etc ,he walked away. When he pushed to hard we put him in the cage to calmed down, the baby put his fingers in Debo's mouth, eye etc and he did nothing. Just before 8ish Debo started to act a bit crazy but we thought that he might be bit tired because since morning he didn't sleep at all,had 2long walks and friends were around from 3pm. We put him in the cage and he fall asleep straigh away. So I think that went well. Just have work bit more on his interaccion with the baby, sometimes he won't leave the baby alone ,keep licking him.
And today on the walk,I let him of the lead on the big open space ,played fetch, when he spoted 2 dogs with owners running free as well. Debo started running to them ,I shouted " stay" and "sit" and he did Surprised ! And waited for until I came close.
Oh and one more thing- he done a pee like a big boy today!!!!

great news , Tommy has been big boy peeing for over a month now , and he's advanced from doing it agains the fence or the hedge , to just in the middle of anywhere, because he can Big Grin Trouble is he never does it while I've got the camera in my hand for one of those special proud mementoes , always just before I get it out or just after i put it away at wits end

It sounds like you are making great progress, well done Debo. Just got to keep it up now, that's the tricky bit he is certainly getting the idea so that is very good.

Brilliant! Sounds like all those little issues you have are starting to be under control. For the first time you tried a different approach it sounds like he did fantastically!

Funny thing he doesn't want to do it for my OH, mummy boy Big Grin . He's doing better and better every day. His recall is really good ( still not perfect but hey ). Always let him of the lead when at the park, everytime he spot a dog in the distance,he starts running towards him, when I call him,ask to stop, sit and wait he will do it. I ' m soooooo proud. Now I can show my OH that you don't have to be hard on your dog to train him,bit of work and he will get there. My OH always listen to his dad,who thinks that you have to show the dog who's the boss. And most of the time he tried that on DEbo he did the opposite. For example ,when DEbo didn't want to come when called ,my OH would start to shouted at him, getting very angry, started running after him.Result- DEbo would run away ,with his tail down. Very funny thing to watch ,grown up men trying to catch a dog. But now he ca see that my technique works better,so he changed his approach . I do tell him that when your dog is afraid doesn't mean he respect you.
