does senior food really matter?
sash been on royal canine for well over a year now and has always loved it,lately thou she'll only eat it with a sardine in it,i went and brought her a small bag of f4dogs and even with sardines mixed in she wont eat it .last week i nipped in to jollys and the girl in there gave me some sample packs of different foods one being barking heads(which she loved)but it was'nt the senior one.they have the golden years food of barking heads coming in tomorrow but i'm in to minds to get it as it was'nt the sample she tried,i know that the protein levels in senior foods are lower, but does it make that much difference?

Re: does senior food really matter?
my gsds stayed on the same food i just gave them a little less as their energy levels decreased but to be honist both would go for 2-4 hours walk at the age of 11 so i feel it depends on the dog and if they put on weight which im glad to say my gsds were very fit and healthy for their ages

I'm not so sure it makes a lot of difference. I've never fed senior food, but then senior food, as such, is a fairly new thing.
All mine have had normal food right through.

I have recently switched Rocky onto Barking Heads TLC, which he loves he got a bit fed up with James Wellbeloved and started to leave it thats why I switched to something else. Barking heads also do one called Fusspots:

Nope lifestages in food is just a gimmick its better to stick to a food that agrees with them and reduce the amount they get as they get less active
