It's Squirrel Time..........

Oh, dear, it's that time of year when squirrels deliberately bait our dogs - they pretend they are gathering winter food, but in reality they're just winding up the dog population by flaunting themselves all over the park.

Thousands of them, just sitting around & looking cute - but Dempsey's getting close........... >

Moo's count to date is 9! She is getting cunning though, she stalks them!

Tilly nearly caught one the other day , but I'm starting to have a few problems with her as she goes hairing off chasing them up the top of the the track where we walk and out of sight , she does come back after ther chase but when she is on the way I can't stop her , then Tommy goes off following like a little shadow

Dempsey will always chase squirrels no matter what time of year, and he has caught a couple, but this time of year there seem to be thousands of them, all trying to get him to chase them all at once!

We don't have alot of them here. Our biggest issue is cats

Lola got close to a chase today, she slowly wandered to where the squirrel had been a minute earlier, then wandered straight past the tree it had run up...

I said the exact same to my mum the other day! Took Bailey up to the school to pick up my wee cousin and took him to the park before and couldn't let him off lead as everywhere I looked there was a squirrel! Was in the park 5minutes and must have seen 15+ squirrels!!

Yes indeed, there are some right loony squirrels round here .. Oh was out with Max on her own couple weeks ago, cut through an archway to get to the feilds, and startled one that was rumaging in a waste bin, and because it was cornered with no escape .. she said it shot out past her and Max and she's sure it jumped off Max's back like a springboard ... he went MENTAL and almost pulled her to the ground .. now he stiffens up and really focuss's when we go near there

I've lost count of how many Rocky could of had from our local woods, the things are suicidal I'm sure. They just run out from the trees and dart across the path just infront of us. Very narrow escapes for them

A squirrel fell out of the tree - off the branch directly above me and foster - this morning.
Foster's reaction was to chase, mine was to stick my fingers in my pockets as fast as possible, and squirrel's was to run back up the tree.

Blue isn't having much luck so he has hired a squirrel costume for tomorrows walk
