sasha learnt at a early age to clank her water bowl across the kitchen floor when it was empty,we'll be sat down and all of a sudden you'll hear her water bowl go sliding across the kitchen floor as she's telling us she wants a drink, makes us jump out our skins some times what clever things can your dogs do?

As you can see from my avatar, Dempsey has a slate sign on his crate. He's worked out that it he hits it, it makes a dinging sound & he gets a treat!

Percy can recognise the sound of the cupboard door where his food is kept in the kitchen, I don't think it makes a sound, but no matter what room he's in either asleep or awake, as soon as I open it he rushes to the kitchen.

My 2 have sonic hearing even when they are asleep.
They also have awesome selective hearing but this occurs at the most inconvenient of times lol !

If he wants to go out and I'm busy on the laptop Ledger will drape himself around my shoulders and move his paw over the track pad to highlight and delete things also if I'm having too much of a lie in he will bury his nose under my neck and flick my head up

Callie can walk on her hind legs and turn around in circles like that, my son taught her. If I were more motivated I'd post the video.

Marley can open doors which isnt good when your on the loo or in the shower. His latest is the fridge door which is annoying as he hasnt learnt to close it. He never takes anything, just opens it, has a look and trots off leaving the door open....in going to have to get some child lock things for it the little git, more expence and laska is watching his every move worryingly.

Re: clever things your dog can do!
We normally feed Dora a dentastic in her crate while we eat our dinner.
As soon as she hears me get the plates out to serve up dinner she bolts into her crate and sits looking at me!
The cleverest thing we have taught her to do (i think...) is wait while we throw a tennis ball. Ask her to fetch the ball, then ask her to wait before she reaches the ball.
And she is obsessed with tennis balls so this makes it doubly impressive. She loves tennis balls more than dogs. Very useful in a busy dog filled park!

My old Border Collie used to cry to be out like clockwork at 6.55 on a Sunday evening as the old couple next door had friends come and pick them up for Bingo at 7 and the friends always gave Roy a biscuit over the wall. He sat there 4 weeks in a row at 6.55 when the old guy died suddenly and never showed up again, how do you explain that to a dog

Tyson pees on command. Been doing it from a pup and is really handy when it is cold out before bed and I dont have a dressing gown on. Makes travel easy as well as you can guarantee he will go whenever you need him to.

Ha Pixee wees on comment too.
Knows when it time for walkies as I do a certain routine somehow, and shes standing right in front of me, ears pinned up, staffie smile at the ready looking at me in hope.
I keep some jumbo bones in the garage, where I keep my washing powder, and yet everytime I get one out for her, she is whining at the garage door waiting for me to bring it out. How does she know?
