Such a Good Girl
Well after the dilemma of what to do with Caley on a Monday while my son was at College for 6hrs, we had not been able to arrange a dog walker that quickly, so we left her on her own, out of her crate with the run of the kitchen, loads of toys and treats, OH t-shirt and a new duvet beside her crate and bless her she was amazing, no poops or wees anywhere, no chewing, what a good girl. Yesterday she was left for 3hours while he was at college again we never crated her and again she was very good..today was for 2hrs and my son sneaked in to see what she was doing and she was fast asleep on her duvet..bless
To top it all off, the college has changed my sons timetable so there will not be any 6hrs the maximum it will ever be is 4hrs, so no dog walker required and my baby is has proved that she is growing up and does not need to be crated during the day anymore while we are out.

Thats great news, I have to leave Moo soon for longer than expected too, my mum (who has her 3 days) has to have an op (out of action for 6 weeks), so 3 days a week she will be on her own I can get home for an hour and she will be taken out at 4, but it will be the longest she'll have gone for! So that is reasuring
Well done

That is very pleasing to hear, sounds like she has herself in a routine already, well done. Great news that your son will be able to be there with her too.

Re: Such a Good Girl
That is fantastic news, but I must warn you, we did the same with Charlie at that age, and he seemed fine for a couple of weeks and then started chewing like mad!! It didn't last long, but he had to be crated again for a while.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to be negative about such good behaviour, but she is still very young, and I wouldn't rely on this behaviour being permanent.
But, she has done brilliantly, and I hope it does last for you
