First night with us!
So Ralph had his first night out of the crate last night.
We moved his bedding upstairs onto our bedroom floor and crossed our fingers. He settled really quickly which was great.
About an hour later, he started barking and scared the cr*p out of us! He went back to sleep though.
This happened a couple of times through the night, a little growl, a bark.
The OH reckons that it's because our window is open and he can hear more?
We are both knackered this morning, so I'm not sure if it was a success or not!!!
It was lovely having him up there though.

Re: First night with us!
It could be the window be open a bit. Suki sadly will do this in her sleep on occasion.

Good for you. We starting to trust Debo a bit more( not sure if should ).
We live in the flat, with just few stairs,so it makes it easier to know where Debo is. Now everytime we taking a shower or have go out from the flat to put rubbish out etc we leave Debo out of crate. Little steps and we get there on day.

That's another reason I don't have Dempsey in my room at night. He's a terror for barking at night; not for long, but enough to wake you up!

Rocky will occasionally bark at night, but only if he hears something and dosn't recognise the sound. He is mostly pretty good though, it just takes a bit of time thats all.

Re: First night with us!
The main thing I was worried about was getting up and standing in a wet patch or a poopie! But that part was all good - so result!
Ralph was wondering round about 6.30 to be let out for wee wee's.
I want to give it another go tonight, but the OH was quite grumpy this morning because he was tired! Men!

Re: First night with us!
I guess something startled him, or maybe he just needs a bit of time to get used to sleeping in a new place. Just give it another go. Loki still can't be trusted out of his cage without constant supervision
