Marley :)
Hey all,
After 2 weeks of my 6 month old pup being on 2 lot's of anti-biotic's he is finished in three day's! and looking well!!
But am scared that people might look at his lip because the furr has been ripped off it, they might think he is a fighting dog and look at me in a way that is not nice, (HE IS NOT A FIGHTING DOG!) i was just wondering will the furr on his lip ever grow back over does anyone know??

I am glad that he is doing better. I think the hair should grow back in time.

Don't worry about it, the fur will grow back. You can't stop people thinking what they want to think, so ignore it. You know the truth.

Re: Marley :)
i'm sure it will grow back and be OK. Rocky had a scar on his head from where another dog bit him and the hair has grown back but it has grown back white and his is a black dog ?? Dont know why that happend though.

Thank's alot! your so true i do now the truth so that is what matter's! I would never inflict pain on this dog! people tell me to punch and kick him to get him into place! I could never do that! although it may work for some! because i have seen dog's and owner's who do that to their dog's and there good as gold but it's still inflicting pain onto the dog! I could never ever do such a thing!!

Re: Marley :)
sadlly some dogs only know bad behaviour from the owner and will respond well to that. Bit like a child if it only gets attention being bad it will continue to be bad. Glad the hair hopefully comes back as our puppy has had a couple of scrapes with our older dog though play fighting and a few scars are showing. Doesnt look too bad thoughkirsty-marley-1 wrote:Thank's alot! your so true i do now the truth so that is what matter's! Re: Marley :)
It is sad! ... I hated hearing the scream's out of my pup when he was being attacked tho! and the best bit is he didn't even try and fight back.. But he is coming along great!

It doesn't work for anybody , a dog treat like that is like a coiled spring. It may live in fear of its owner and it may also go off at any minute . All it would do is lead to a frightened highly unpredictable animal

I know, the dog's i know who have had that life.. if any dog goes over to them they start to snarl and bark and try and run at them to fight them! But i take my dog out with them + they are fine with my dog because they have knew him since he was 8 week's!

Sorry not wanting to be nosey just trying to understand. By your comments on here you seem to be quite exposed to people that mistreat their dogs or like to encourage them to fight , is this within your circle of friends ?? Please tell me to sod off if you want , I can just tell from your posts you seem to be over anxious about dog fighting and badly treated dogs etc , but then talk as if these are animals that are close to you. Like I say , just tell me it's none of my business if I am being intrusive. We are a family forum and I am a father and grandfather so have some reasonable experience of kids and mind reading (comes with age )

One word. Don't.
These are disreputable people & if you associate with them you will get into trouble & eventually have your dog taken off you because of it.

Re: Marley :)
No hunni it's fine! i would have took it that way aswell!, but the thing is they don't fight there dog's and the one year old staffie called roxy has been in a fight but not intertanlly and as soon as he seen her getting bit and biting the other dog he ran to help her, they are no danger they just don't get on with other dog's like i have seen other people on here say that there dog's don't get on with other dog's... they are fine to humans! just dis-like other dog's as i say they are no harm, and the owner's don't hit them when there just sitting there, they get told off and hit and put outside for something bad (e.g. chewing the sofa) they always have kid's round them.

That's so wrong! Dogs really shouldn't be hit for doing something wrong.

Re: Marley :)
I know load's of people told me to do it to marley! Even the vet's! but when i red up it said i should not hit him! and just leave him so i have been doing that i havn't hit him but my boyfriend has kicked him and my brother has hit him.. but i have gone mad at them both as i don't belive in hitting dog's but if they want to do that then i can't say nothing to them.... i can only warn them

I can't imagine a vet saying you should hit your dog!

Are you for real? You really can't let any dog get treated that way.
