Marley
Marley is 3 years old we have had the pleasure of him with us now for a couple of months. Adopted from the RSPCA Exeter. Settling in really well training is coming on leaps and bounds loves all people Now loves going for a ride in the car hated it at first would get a tad stressed out. Sadly he did not have any social skills with other four legged friends. He has made a few friends he is happy to walk with but I think this will be along process before I can trust him with all dogs without getting upset and aggressive a bit of a Jekel and Hyde no magic cure on this one. I am contemplating getting some advice from a behaviourist recognising the signals. If anyone can recommend someone in the Exeter Devon area I would really appreciate it.
Many thanks a great Forum

Re: Marley
Well done on the rescue! Great pics of a lovely lad.
A behaviourist is a great idea. If you do have trouble finding one, there are some good books that might help. Yell if you want links.
I'll move this to the general chat section as I don't know if many people will see this here and Marley needs to be seen by everyone!

Re: Marley
I'm amazed that a stunning looking fella like Marley was ever in rescue so well done you on finding such a smashing looker.
It can be difficult to tell between excited play (as you know Staffies play rough) and aggression. Full on aggression is a scary experience so yes, it would be well worth while getting advice from a professional. The link provided by Crystal is good and I'm sure that at least one other person on the forum will endorse.
Would you mind if we use some of your pictures for our Facebook page Rob ?

Re: Marley
Hi Rob! Gorgeous boy! I previously worked at the RSPCA in Exeter, it's a really great shelter! Perhaps give them a call and ask for a suggestion, they're great advocates for force free training and I'm sure that they could recommend somebody
