My boy fighting again 15th September - Video added
My lad is fighting in Burslem in his 2nd MMA night on Saturday next week if anyone is interested Hagen Biggin of Biggin MMA , he has progressed into his own fight team since the last evening after putting himself through all of his courses for PT, MMA training etc, should be a good night with plenty of action with 13 fights lined up and still looking for 1 more match up to make 14

Sure he will J , we have a coach travelling down to support him , currently they have change his fighter again as of today so who knows who he will be fighting on Saturday. The current ones trains pro MMA fighters apparently

Changing opponents can be very difficult espically if the styles are different. Hopefully they are similar in style and his preperation doesn't change too much.

To be honest it doesn't really phase him too much unless there was a stupid weight difference or experience in the cage level, he is a pretty confident fighter so it should be entertaining , I've only been able to find one fight vid of this other guy and it was stopped really early when the referee and medic went a bit overboard due to a cut from a kick on the other guy that wasn't really affecting the fight , but at least it keeps it safe

Cheers J , we will all be there from 5.00 onwards first fight at 6 , if they get the last 1 matched up then the lad will have 4 fights running with his fight team (Biggin MMA) Found a little more info on the lads pairing won 3 lost 0 and trains professionals so could be a really good fight

It happens to everyone and usually serves as a great motivator and lets you know where you have to focus your training.

Spoke to them all today and they are all in good spirit. Turns out that all the fights (not just the Leek lads) were deemed bad mismatches. Hagen was confident he could take down his match but he got it wrong and goes away with a valuable lesson, he didn't consider his fight a mismatch more of a challenge.
Turns out that his first fighter (debut) who was only 17 was matched with a debut MMA fighter , who just happened to be a British Wrestling champion and it hadn't been disclosed but if people want to play it a little dirty they won't be dragged down to the same level and pardon the pun will come out fighting

Absolutley ... I had a similar lesson in life myself a few yrs ago, not fighting but climbing ... had been on a BRILLIANT climbing/camping w/end up your neck of the woods (Stanage Edge) ... then a couple hours before setting off to come home, we decided to do a bit of bouldering (low level climbing with no ropes or equip) to finish the w/end off at Burbage North (I think it was ) ... anywho, had been climbing like a monkey all w/end so I was obviously invincible right !!! ... wrong !!! ... started climbing this bouldering problem, and before I realised what I was doing, I was the equivelant of a two story house up, with over tired muscles, no safety gear, and nothing but gritstone boulders the size of a dining table below me ... that my freind, was the scariest climbing experience I've ever had, just a few meters up .. but at more risk of death if I fell than all my rope climbing yrs put together ...
Taught me a MASSIVE lesson I can tell ya

Re: My boy fighting again 15th September - Video added
we've all got them to learn in life some time and it's a far bigger man that accepts the lessons. You had a lucky escape. Hagen just shrugged his shoulders and said got to try harder next time he was the better man on the day
