just wondering... Empty just wondering...

as iv had my 2 out for a good run today,anyway as we were playing for about 20 mins,then we stopt for about 5mins and then started again for about 20 mins more....and it got me thinking do dogs suffer from a build up of lactik acid like humans do...

just one of them things that com into my head....

Not too sure, but whenever I play with Moo I always make sure she's warm enough after so she can relax calmly, not really thought about the lactic acid though

I think they must do, both humans and our modern domesticated dog are omnivores (though strictly a canine is supposed to be a carnivore). Also I have noticed that after a long walk and a rest they can be a bit stiffer than usual for a couple of hours in the evening which tends to go the more you massage the muscles.

Yes they can, though usually if you see extreme symptoms it is due to an underlying issue. See -

Leaim was talking to me about this the other day, he thinks that Molly must get rid of lactic acid really quickly, because she's never stiff after exercise, and never seems to want to stop either!
I wish I got rid of it that quickly, or had none at all
