"Head Splitting" Empty "Head Splitting"

Hello
I was just wondering how old your Staffies were when their head began to "Split"
Bruce is 8 mths old now and although he was the runt of the litter and is smaller than most Staffies his age he is still very muscular and in proportion for his size, But i have noticed that his head muscles are not yet showing.
he has a big head but no sign of " Splitting",

Cheers Guys
Blushing

I think this greatly various on each individual dog, normally by a year they have the split head look but some are sooner and my blue girl has quite a small head and i didn,t notice the obvious split look until she was about 18mnths, My pup is 7mnths and her head hasn,t changed yet either x

The 'splitting' is really just the head and cheek muscles forming and that probably won't happen for a while yet. It usually starts around 10-12 months of age. The muscles get bigger and more defined and will continue to do so while your dog is maturing.

The head splitting is really the formation of muscle which may not be there yet on Bruce, just give it time.
