limping after cut pad
my 12 month old jake has been limping but won't let us go anywhere near his paw .
the wife noticed a cut on his front paw the big pad but how do you sort it if you can't go near it.
if we tried to cover it he would just rip it off ??

If you can't get near it you can't cover it.
Wait till he is sleepy and try and get a look, a wash with antiseptic or salt water would help, water it down though, if its a little cut it will heal and leave it open, but you need to get a look first

Yea as above really
If needs be give him something to chew (carrot smeared with peanut butter, I do this when I cut Diesels nails) when u look at it and lots of reassurance.
Hope all turns out ok x
