Things are finally looking up :)

Phoned up about a job 2 weeks ago and gave all my details and stuff, thought I was unsuccessful as I hadn't heard anything but I just got a phonecall back asking me to go in for a trial on Monday morning .

It's a driving job which my LGV Class 2 has came into play with! Hope I get it so fingers crossed

I envy anyone who can drive a vehicle bigger than a car - last time I tried, I reversed a luton van over my neighbour's flowerbed - he's still not talking properly to me.

I only had 3yrs driving experience of a car and a 5day course to get my Class 2! Had to pass a medical, multiple choice, hazard perception, 2parts of a case study, safety check test (for long distance work, checking for drugs/illegal immigrants etc) then my class 2 test lol! Took about 3-4 weeks altogether! Haha it's only a flower bed not too bad lmao

what exactly id classs 2 LGV is that a 7.5 tonne

Class 2 is classed as anything rigid, so anything up to 32 tonne I'm sure, everything up to an artic, artic is class 1

God I'm nervous about tomorrow ! Up at 5am, only time I've seen 5am is if I've not been to sleep thankfully it's only a 10-15 minute drive up the motorway and the unit is right next to the motorway :d off the motorway, up the road about 300m then into the unit! Fingers crossed

No experience + chucked in at the deep end = minor disaster unfortunately lol. Reversing out a wee side street and into the side of a car no one was about so while we finished the job in hand and phoned the manager, when we came out s/he was away! Guy I'm out with smoked about 20 joints aswell which I hate so looks like I'm back to the drawing board for a job ! Glad I gave it a try though.

Yeah I'm not making excuses but the trucks were cr@p lol quite old aswell! The mirrors were like car mirrors, even the guy with the class 1 licence said he could hardly see out them!

Yeah I'm sure they've done away with the HGV/LGV and it's just LGV, well that's what I was lead to believe lol!

never mind mate , sure there will be others come along, what about some agency work

I'm going to put my name down for a couple, but I'm unsure wether the trucks is something I want to do lol! If its just driving I could manage I'm not too keen on the heavy lifting aspect lmao!
