Naughty or not?
Hi all had Skye 4 weeks now and she's 12 weeks old, she's lovely most of the time but seems to have a bit of a temper when being told no! She snarls and when I pick her up she wriggles like mad trying to bite me.also having problems with her nipping me,the kids anyone who walks past I've tried everything consistently but nothing seems to work? Telling her no,ignoring her time out etc.will she grow out of this or can anyone point out where I'm going wrong or suggest any other methods??

she will grow out of it,just part of being a puppy!be constant with her and tell her no,or some people find doing a yelp helps too.she will start teething soon so try giving her a frozen carrot to chew on,try getting some good chew toys in as well.

Re: Naughty or not?
12 wks is still teeny, my pup was pretty awkward for the first few week till he'd found his feet abd settled then he chilled out and turned into a snugglebug.
The snarling or snapping ... A firm 'no' and ignore.
U need to be calm assertive 24/7 it won't take long but remember, the early weeks pup is learning what is expected of him so its trial n error all round x

Re: Naughty or not?
agree with above we are still going through it now at 17 weeks and he can be a nightmare at times with over excitement but we learn new tricks every day

It's normal puppuy behaviour. The links Steve provided all have great information. You and everyone else just have to be consistant and patient.

I know exactly how you feel my 12 week old little girl is lovely and calm and then suddenly snaps and barks and tries to bite us I've been trying out the advice people have been given and realise it is early days and am just hoping she grows out of it. Good Luck with your little one
