Weeding

Ok so this is more of a gardening question than a doggy one...

I've spent about an hour digging weeds from between the patio slabs this morning (Dora tried to help, but mostly she kept eating what I was pulling up and gave me the occasional lick when me head was in reach - lol!) Need to teach her to pull them up for me...

My question is, when the weeds grow back (which they undoubtedly will), what can I put on them to kill them that will be Dora friendly? She tends to nibble at the grass etc...

I use boiling water from the kettle

Yup! Kills off grass, weeds etc. they do eventually grow back but then they do with chemical weed killer and I much prefer it as I know it's 100% safe (once it's cooled a bit obviously!)
