R.I.P Lady
There will never be another Friday that we don't think of you lady.
You touched so many peoples lives with wisdom and intelligence way beyond your doggie years. your uncanny knowledge and sense of peoples illnesses left us amazed, you see you saved peoples lifes and we couldnt save you...... we tried so hard and you fought with every fibre of your body but it wasn't to be .
Always know that we loved you soooo much, life goes on, but it will not be the same without your special cuddles, the way that you spoke to us and the loyalty and love you gave us.
Our hearts hurt lady and we have cried rivers and will go on doing so, but we know that we were blessed to have had you as part of our family.
God bless sweetheart! R.I.P. xxxxxx

Lady had 3 fits/seizures about a week & a half ago so we had lots of tests done & nothing came up in them, so we put her on 2 different types of antibiotics 1 for pancreas & 1 for encephalitis (brain) because she did have lots of white blood cells in her blood test.
Within the week she went down hill very fast, very lethargic & spaced out, but she still had her appetite & wasnt being sick.
It got to a stage where all she was living for was her little walk down to the stream next to are house, that was the only time she had any life in her & we new when that had gone then we would have to do something about it, & that happened yesterday when she collapsed.
Through out the whole ordeal are vet (Ella) from Vale Vets in Dursley was a angel to are Lady & to are selves,
Ella went beyond her port of call to help & we couldnt of asked anymore out of her, she gave us so much trust & so it was Ella who put Lady peacefully to rest at 4.15pm yesterday.
R.I.P Lady I no your waiting for us, we will be together again one day.

Thank you so much for your kind words Crystel, we never ever anticipated that the pain would be sooooo bad, and we realise that our 'minds eye' is a deadly weapon, we see her in everything we do, from opening the front door to walking down past the river, to going to bed and getting up in the morning, you are right, it does leave an absolutely massive hole, you have obviously experienced this yourself. Her memory will never leave us and we feel proud to have been part of her life.

Thank you so much crystel, 17 years is a life time, I don't know how you even began to cope with that, but I know that you were very blessed to have known and loved each other, a big thank you for taking the time to talk this through, your understanding and compassion has helped more than you could realise! Re: R.I.P Lady
What an absolute sweetheart, it made me laugh when you said about your old girl snoring! Our Lady used to snore every night and the decibels were quite loud!! You know I can remember saying 'Can you just be quiet lade and let me sleep'!! Now i'd give the world just to hear those darned snores again..... stupid isnt it!! But your right that the other dogs keep you busy, Enya was spayed the day before Lady passed and I have to say that I would never have had it done at such an early age if I had realised just how difficult it is to keep her calm, she's been a nightmare! Her 10 day check is on Tuesday so we are praying that she has healed as well on the inside as it looks on the outside. Its never ending for us at the moment, we seem to live at the vets lol!!

Re: R.I.P Lady
Loony isnt the word for Enya! Shes an absolute idiot, I think because we had to crate her for a few days because of Enzo, shes got an overload of energy!! All the training of get down, no, stop it is on mute in her ears, she gives us a look of and what are you going to do about it, then proceeds to jump about like bambi.... nightmare but i love her. i'll give both of them an especially big hug tonight, just so glad to have them!!
