Hay Fever! Empty Hay Fever!

Post by Jellytot Sun Aug 12 2012, 20:18

Took Ralph to the vets on Friday as we had been keeping an eye on his eyes, which were sometimes looking a bit red and watery, although not bothering him at all.

The vet said Ralph has hay fever!

He's given us piriton and eye drops.

Sice Ralph started taking them, he's a lot calmer than usual and is sleeping a bit more.

Is it possible that the tablets are making him drowsey? I have hay fever and I don't like piriton - I always get Boots own non drowsey for me.

I can swap him over right? The tablets are just the same as what we take?

Piriton can make u drowsey, I usually go for Tesco or Sainaburys own brand which has Loritadine. I occasionally give 1 tab to my girl to help with eyes and itchyness x

I have given Rocky Tescos own brand hayfever tablets before with no adverse reaction, it would be best to check with the vet first though to be on the safe side. This is what to look for, I just give him half a tablet.:
