Pup Wont eat and not his usual self
Tango has not been his usual self today, He wouldn't touch his dinner at all, I gave him chicken and rice he eat that but threw it back up about a hour later. Is there anything i could do or just wait and see if he gets better in time?

Is he still drinking water? If so you could skip a meal and hope that will settle his stomach.

Could be the heat, it effects them in different ways.
See how Tango is in the morning, I take it he is ok in himself otherwise?

You seem to be having a hard time with him and food. I think a vet trip is in order just to rule anything out

Yeah he's still drinking, He's been left on his own today for a couple of hours and he hates that, So with that and the heat i think it's got to him a bit. I'm going to leave him till the morning before i try giving him anything else, He's asleep now anyway. Hopefully he will get better

Yeah i know that's what i was thinking, He's been to the vets a couple of times. They look at him look in his mouth and say he looks fine. Bring him back in a week and do same. Just wasting my money on visits. I think i might look for a different vets

That might be a good idea if you are not happy with the one you are using.

Re: Pup Wont eat and not his usual self
As long as he is drinking plenty, especially in the heat, a missed meal or two will not do him any harm. In fact he will be more keen on his food at next dinner time hopefully. Alot of times when dogs get picky its because they are not fully hungry. When I put Molly's dish down she has very little time to decide if she wants it, if she sniffs and gets fussy I lift it and she gets nothing till the next feed (I feed her twice daily, morning and evening). She did this once and it never happened again. She loves routine though and I think that helps alot.

Re: Pup Wont eat and not his usual self
She said he looks fine, Checked him over and everything was normal. Gave him 3 injections, 1 to stop him being sick. another to settle his stomach. And 1 to increase his appetite. She also offered some paste but she said he doesn't really need it so i never bothered.

Re: Pup Wont eat and not his usual self
At least he appears to be ok - must just be the weather! I don't know about the weight - I've never placed too much emphasis on weight other than for medicines/wormers etc.
If he's bright eyed, has a nice coat & you can feel his ribs (without them poking out!) then he must be a good weight!
