Honey's real dog food
My neighbour just recently got 2 blue male GSD pups and they were weaned onto raw and he just handed some into me to try Bailey on. They do 5 different flavours, is it any good? He gave me a chicken one! Whole raw minced chicken and finely ground bones (66%). Grated carrot, turnip, broccoli and other seasonal vegetables (33%). Mineral and vitamin supplements (less than 1%).

I would worry about the bone splinters, there is always a bit missed and it could really harm your dog. Also, veggies don't hold any real nutrients for dogs. If you would like to feed raw, Caryll and Ella are your bibles!

I think it is a great idea, but my god thats expensive! If you haven't the room to feed raw I can see why you would go down this avenue and I don't doubt it is a good food, but if you have the room just feed plain raw like a lot of our members

Re: Honey's real dog food
Hi,
thanks for the link, I checked their web page and they do veg free recipes which I like a lot. I am hoping Stella might overlook the offals in the mince and eat it Otherwise she would not touch offals. They supply free range chicken wings as well.
I am getting a delivery from them later today, I can't wait
I will let you know how Stella gets on. Thanks a lot Stuart for sharing the link because I could not find any supplier so I am so excited now

Re: Honey's real dog food
Good morning,
The food was delievered yesterday, all perfectly packed and cold.
Stella is loving it
I ordered the veg free recipe and 5 kg free range chicken wings, they enclosed a book about raw feeding and some home made biscuits as well. It is fantastic
It is ideal for Stella because she has never eaten offals well and recently she dod not want to eat meaty bones either except for chicken wings. So this recipe where it is all minced together is a great solution for us. And she has the chicken wings for her teeth
It is a great wee company, all ingredients are free range and fresh - chicken, lamb, duck, rabbit, beef, I am so excited
Xx
