Tumours
Hello everyone, sorry I've not been here for a while. Just needed to share with someone, my girl sugar has had a cough for about 6 months now and has been struggling a little at times with breathing and out of breath, she has been on steroids and has had an X-ray which didn't show much except her huge healthy heart , I went to order a repeat prescription last week for her and another vet and the lovely receptionist said sugar's cough has been going on too long now so she was booked in for a general anaesthetic and X-rays. The vet that talked me through the X-rays said it is most likely sugar has tumours on her lungs, only one lung was clearly showing on the X-ray the other just a small fraction of it. The next step is an ultra sound to clarify all of this. My girl means the world to me, my hubby and my boy spike, who by the way can not bear to be apart from her. She is like my baby elephant wherever I go she follows even to the bathroom. We were sugar's 5th home by the time we got her at 18 months old and can't believe no one kept her she is great and no trouble to have. She has to carry in taking the tablets and it's just a waiting game now. The vet did miff me a little saying sugar is over weight , I know she is but the steroids make her hungry all the time , I am trying to feed her veg and fruit but walking her is hard due to her getting out of breath easily.

Re: Tumours
That is so sad.
I hope for the best, and that it is something the vets can treat. All the best and keep us updated
