Staffy pup bringing water back up??

Hello peeps

Just wanting abit of advice, got my pup almost a week ago now and every now and then when he drinks some water a few seconds later he brings it back up onto the floor? Has anyone found the same thing with their pup?

Maybe he is drinking too much to quickly and making himself gag and bring it back up

Most likely drinking too fast, straining his neck while drinking or the water is too cold and drank too soon after exercise. Try placing the bowl on a stand so he can have easier access.

As long as it isn't every time, then there's no problem. It's usually when they've had exercise & drink too much, too quickly. Their stomach can't deal with it all at once so some of it comes back up.

Yeah its not everytime, been playing with him loads and his new toys...So hopefully thats why

Loki still does it every once in a while, but it is usually after playing or drinking to much.
I've also noticed she will drink lots of water and then decide not to swollow the last sip, which just pours out her mouth as far as she walks. Silly girl
