grrrrr
stood in line for the ice cream van today (yes, Lola finished mine) when behind me i heard a "hello!" i turned to see a young guy crouching and encouraging Lola over to him. she was on lead, but toddled back a touch so he could stroke her, at which point he looked at me and said "shes really cute mate"
at this point, his girlfriend grabbed his shoulder, pulled him up and hissed "thats one of them staffy things"
thanks love, but when your cross-thing dog was straining at the leash and arguing with everything, you probably shouldnt pass comment on my dog, sat watching the world go by and hoping for a dropped ice cream
never mind eh...

People will always comment, just ignore them, the the type of people who's opions mean nothing. I do think it's rude though. I wouldn't say to my partner, don't smile at the kid, it's one of them ginger haired one's

I love that.
I tend to ignore people's comments, its like water off a duck's back

Re: grrrrr
Yeah... Over here they just ask "is your pitbull mean?" I sometimes respond "only to ignorant a-holes!" Then I smile as they try to figure that out. If I'm feeling patient I'll launch into my tirade about how it is how they are raised and then educate them on the fact they are not apbt.

Re: grrrrr
Oh man its great to read that I'm not the only one who battles with the looks and comments that make me feel like I have killers on the end of the leash. I had to learn to take most of the comments with truckloads (never mind a pinch) of salt. I have figured a great line after seeing this sign on someones front gates....when ignorant people ask if my babies are viscious, my response (with a dead-pan face) is usually "they love people, unfortunately they just cannot eat a whole one in one sitting". I enjoy watching the confused looks on their faces, before I carry on walking past!
