My old girl turns to puppy.........
................Soon as she gets to Hunstanton beach
Mazda my 11yr old can barely walk far, is deaf so normally cant go off lead in most places but take her to the beach and u have a puppy on ur hand, made me well up seeing her have so much fun, she ignored EVERY dog even when Kodi was playing with them, she just kept chasing waves
Charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge
Excuse my daughters huge jacket she was moaning its cold so had to put my OH's on
"Mum, Dad u should try this!" - Yes I ended up in there with her fully dressed as my OH thinks hes funny >
Kodi HATES water hes such a girl "Im outta here mum see ya!"
And a nice beef bone treat when we got home
Which obviously tastes better covered in dirt
My golden girl

Gorgeous pics of Mazda and Kodi.
I can so relate to your story, Kita is the same when it comes to the beach or the river. I'm so thankful that she has always loved swimming as it's probably better exercise for her arthritis than walking.

Ah thanks Nikki. Hubby and I have been to Heacham beach but that was before Rocky came along. It is nice and quiet there. Would love to take Rocky there sometime.

Great pics and great to see her having so much fun!
From a human physiotherapy perspective this is definitely true. Swimming provides great exercise for people with arthritis or recovery from injury as it avoids impact and resistance that occurs when running, irritating the joints and tissue. Can't see any reason why this wouldn't be the same for dogs. So, keep up with the swimming, its better than a walk for her in her condition
