Stella's new collar (and our 1st gotcha day)
Hi,
it's been a year today since I picked Stella up... Incredible how she has changed my life; she's just incredible, lovely wee dog
Many thanks to you all here, this forum has been helping both Stella and me a lot; I love it here so much
She got a new collar today... I have a matching lead as well but she is used to her flexi lead so I will see whether I will use the leather lead.
She has always been wearing a harness but now she got some skin problem under her arms and my vet recommended me to switch to a collar.
It's a special day today because of the anniversary but every day is really special with a dog like her I am sure you all know what I mean
All the best, cheers Xxxxx

Re: Stella's new collar (and our 1st gotcha day)
Thanks
I planned for today a long time and I was thinking to make a special trip or something, a special dinner for sure, but she was neutered on Thursday so she has to have a rest.
It was a very hard and a very big decision. I had not thought about it that much with my prvious girls years ago but now I spent hours online during whole the year... And I went for it now, 3 months after her first season.
I did not want to start again a long topic here so I did not mention it prior to the surgery
But all the links and discussions here helped a lot, I must have read absolutely everything here
She has been recovering real fast, she is her usual self again
Yes and by the way I had to make pictures of the collar because it won't look like this for long... she is very keen in seagulls' and foxes'...

Hope she's feeling better soon - how are you going to keep her quiet & calm?

The collar is from here:
http://www.furfeatherandfin.com/product/162/dogs.htm
She loves to jump and run but she can be sort of lazy as well so we have been having lazy time on the sofa with Sopranos DVD and no complaints so far...

Happy gotcha day Its ours on the 28th and I can't decide what to do for it although it is looking like a new kong as mum put a chunk of chorizo into Ledgers this morning to keep him calm in the car and we now cant get it out so he is slowly destroying it

Re: Stella's new collar (and our 1st gotcha day)
Thanks, yes she looks fine.
She got antibiotics as well because of the skin problem under her arm (the vet said it must have been caused by her harness but I still can't really believe it, Julius K9?) and the ATBs and maybe the painkiller drops as well are causing her a wee bit upset tummy, she's been farting a lot today, but she is fine; she is with me cuddled up on the sofa...
When I brought her back from the vet on Thursday after the surgery she was whining but always stopped immediately when I hugged her... It is so sweet, she has always been very cuddly all day and night So it's a celebration day but not that much different from other days Just no walks

Thanks
Stella is fine, we already go for short walks on lead after her surgery on Thursday.
We spent yesterday evening going through old pictures from last July...
This one is a completely first picture of her:
Then couple of others, she was so wee it's unbelievable
And now she is my big girl
I am so glad the neutering went well and she is herself again.
Thanx for all your kind words and congratulations, I passed them on to Stella
