Re: Chew toys
We use sweet potatoes and cucumbers as well. When you freeze them they will help with teething as well.

A stag bar is a deer antler, they last ages aswell which is good, they don't smell or stain either! You can buy them from amazon.

Re: Chew toys
Rocky would also highly recommend the stag bar. You can get them in Jolleys if you have one locally.

Re: Chew toys
I never gave Bailey a stagbar that young, but have seen people give their pups large ones!

Re: Chew toys
Jelly loves carrots, ice cubes of diluted beef or chicken stock, ropes, beef shin bones with loads of marrow, dried beef ears and we're waiting for our first stag bar as well...
i would recommend that if you are thinking of getting anything "puppy" sized, i.e., smallish, don't. your pup will outgrow it in a week. LOL OK maybe not a week... but quickly. I go for the next size up of whatever "it" is with Jellybean and she handles it just fine and it lasts longer too.
