Thinking of naming and shameing
Hi guys, My daughter came home the other day, she was quite upset about a staffy. She had been told by a friend that a lady living in the next town had moved house and left her staffy behind. Apparently, the lady in question had asked a friend to "pop in and feed the dog", it had lived alone for 2 months, no human contact, apart from the occasional feeding. So i toke it upon myself to go to this house. When we arrived, i looked in the window, no sign of the dog. I was on the phone at the same time speaking to the rspca. The house was in a terrible mess. My son then climed on the porch roof, the window was open, so he stuck his head in, the smell was discusting, but still no dog. There was evidence of a dog living there, empty food bowls, poo and pee every where, a total mess. The neigbours came out and told us that the Rspca had already taken the dog, but the cat escaped!!!! Aparently, what my daughter had told me was true. The poor animals were left for 2months. Well, i've found her on fb. Im quite tempted to name, shame and make her life a living hell.

Im quite a easy going person, but cruelty to animals is something i cannot bear. I would and will always stand up for them, what ever the cost.

Re: Thinking of naming and shameing
The RSPCA are taking it on, but i think i will contact the police myself. I know your right about social media sites, but apparently she's really horrible. I could get in trouble, but feel so angry. The poor dog was only 7 months old. Im going to keep in touch with the rspca to check on her progress. I'll update you all as soon as i know

Legally you can't name and shame but definitely pass it on to the RSPCA who will investigate it and prosecute her for abandonment

I'm not sure I could refrain from saying my bit if I new them, I would message her and see what she has to say!
RSPCA can't do any more and the police wouldn't bother.

Re: Thinking of naming and shameing
I'd feel exactly the same way, but just think of your own safety.
Vent on here and tell the best local tittle-tattlers so that local people hear about this despicable woman, but let the RSPCA take responsibility from here, you've done your bit.

Re: Thinking of naming and shameing
I would call the police then I would be clever and plaster it on fb in a way that people who know them will know but without using names, or sod it I would name and shame its not on

Re: Thinking of naming and shameing
I wouldn't cause any trouble for her even if she deserves it. There are people in the world who have a very strict sense of justice and are willing to take matters into their own hands and terrorise people's lives. She might deserve it, but who knows what might end up happening to her or other people in her life (even innocent ones)? Give her name to the police and RSPCA (if not already) and leave it at that, is my advice.
