Hello from Somerset!

Hello there! I'm a newbie to forums and to staffies! Well actually... I don't have the dog yet... me and my partner are waiting to hear back from the dogs home. We are hoping to rescue a lovely friendly 3 year old boy from Bath cats and dogs home. We got the chance to meet and walk him on Sunday and put a reserve on him straight away. We had our home visit from the dogs home volunteer on Monday - she seemed happy with the size of the garden and quality of the fence... We're hoping to hear back from them in the next day or two. He's had to have a couple of operations on his left eye due to an ectropion of the lower eye lid. I think he's got a check up due tomorrow and if everything is ok hopefully they'll let us take him home! We are very excited (as you can probably tell...). I'd like everyone to keep their fingers crossed please that we are successful in rehoming this lovely staffy!! If we are successful I am sure to be back for some advice from all you experts Big Grin

Good news!! I just called the dogs home and everything went well with the home visit... So, if the review with the vet goes well tomorrow (fingers crossed) we'll be able to pick him up on Friday or Saturday!!
