Watchman the Staffy Mascot
Saw this article in the Express & Star the other day
http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2012/07/10/staffords-regimental-mascot%e2%80%99s-future-is-uncertain/
For those of you who remember I met Watchman last September at the homecoming parade for the Regiment and took some pics which I posted on the forum.
I would hope that he is able to stay with his current handler but I would have him in a heartbeat - gorgeous boy and so gentle!
Not sure if Zac would be happy to share me though LOL xx

Re: Watchman the Staffy Mascot
Sure that boy will be fine and won't end up looking for a home, shame he is a victim of the cutbacks, beautiful boy and looks very proud.
Little off topic but I've often wondered if its something to do with me being a Jonah.
Moved to leek after choosing a vauxhall , 1 week later the vauxhall dealer closed, changed to a ford and the ford dealer close, bough 2 staffys ..................................
I'm off out to buy a Tshirt tomorrow with a pic of the bloke from Go Compare ads

Janey.....sorry Eva 2, you are blonde yes ?? and he's the Mascot of the Staffordshire Regiment ................
Actually they should just close down all the other midlands regiments and merge them into the Staffordshire Regiment so that our boy can stay top dog. I feel quite proud to live in Staffordshire and own Tilly and Tommy. Love the county that much I bought the dogs

Re: Watchman the Staffy Mascot
I know Janey I was OMG you can't get rid of the regiment - what about Watchman!!
Lol Dave your post made me laugh!!
Great idea about merging them all so we keep Watchman. I may email paper and try find out more.

Re: Watchman the Staffy Mascot
You know if somebody with the right amount of money and a Staffy lover came along it would be a brilliant opportunity to turn him into a superstar ambassador for the breed and push our babies into the limelight a bit with the right funding . BTW I don't mean to take hin on as I really don't think it will be a problem , but to tour the country as promo for the breed

Re: Watchman the Staffy Mascot
I'm quite sure he will be snapped up by someone in the regiment, he is a very handsome lad and would become a much loved pet by one of the lad or lasses.

Well I don't have any confirmation yet but I would assume so , surely the Stafford Regiment can't be without a Staffy , did you see this other post too Kathy where Puppy Watchman V meets Senior Watchman IV
