Wobbly on back legs?
I don't know whether it's me over-thinking, or worrying about every little thing, but lately I've noticed Blaze is wobbly on his back legs. He's 6 weeks old today, so will be booking him in for another check over, and to sort out his vaccinations, so hopefully the check over will settle things for the good. All was normal the last time he was vet checked.
Anyhow, when he plays, he's pretty much wobbly on his back legs, almost as if they're not co-ordinated with the rest of him? Especially when he's playing, he trips, slides and falls over almost 99% of the time. Yet, he came running after me today, and not once did he show any weakness in his back legs, slight wobbling about, but about it.
I don't know whether it's down to his age, excitement, or generally because he hasn't built his muscles up yet. But did anyone else notice this in their puppies?
Just a little worried; just want him happy and healthy!

I think it's most likely due to his age and nothing to be overly concerned with. If you can film it to show the vet on your next visit that would help put your mind at ease

I dare say it's nothing to worry about, puppies, especially ones as young as yours are generally very uncoordinated and wobbly! As jstaff says, film it and show to your vet to make sure and put your mind at ease.

Re: Wobbly on back legs?
I think it is his age. They are not yet steady at 6 weeks of age, so I don't think it is something worth worrying about. Our pup was still wobbly at around 9 weeks, but now she manages perfectly.
When you do go to the vet, just let them have a good look

It's probably just a combination of everything you have stated. Great idea to video him that's what I would do.

It's almost certainly his age. That's another reason why pups shouldn't go out into the big wide world before 8 weeks old, they're just not physically ready for it. When I first saw Dempsey (at 5 & a half weeks old) he was exactly the same. His back legs seemed to have no idea what his front legs were doing & would just wobble all over the place. He fell over a child's shoe because he didn't remember to lift his back legs up when he walked over it as well as his front ones. Even when I brought him home at just under 8 weeks he was still a bit wobbly. It takes time for coordination & strength to build, just as it does in human babies. Babies, when they first start to walk are really clumsy & have no way of directing their legs properly!

Re: Wobbly on back legs?
My pup at 8 wks was a bit like bambi for the first week or so.
They are so small and fragile that he will be all arms n legs until he gains strength. X

Hi there bully123, welcome to the forum
I'm afraid I'm not sure, you might be better starting a new thread to ask about your pup?
Also maybe come and say hi
