Re: Pet Insurance you would recommend?
We have insured Rocky with Argos Pet Insurance on a Lifetime policy. The premium is £15.24 per month.
We were previously with PetPlan who wanted £22.50 per month for the same cover.
With Argos we went for the Platinum Policy which should pay out £7,000 in vet fees, £2 Million in 3rd Party Liability and with £65 excess per incident.
I haven't however had to claim yet ....

Re: Pet Insurance you would recommend?
So ...we've had long term experience with Pet Plan and our older BC cross who's gone now, very good at paying but very expensive and the policy kept getting hiked up and terms imposed as Dusty got older
Tilly was with Direct Line for almost 2 years (£23.10 per month, 6K per condition policy) , we did have a claim for about 300 not long after we got Tilly when she hurt her leg and the payout was made without no quibble.
Just moved to Pets at Home for the both of them as it was cheaper for the pair of them and the policy is better cover (underwritten by Lloyds) Lifetime policy up to 9K per year max vets fees and £75 per condition per year excess, no claim experience and have to say I hope we don't have to

I started off with M & S, who were reasonably priced with good cover. Paid out without a quibble (apart from invalid food after an operation) when it was needed, but then really hiked the premium up when the renewal came.
I switched to Sainsburys after that & they've also paid out without a quibble, including invalid food. I've just renewed for a third year with them. The cost has gone up, but I've claimed about £4k off them, so I can't complain, and they're still cheaper than any of the others I've looked at for an EBT!

Re: Pet Insurance you would recommend?
I don't think you can rank them because they all give different levles of cover.
Maybe just have it as a list of companies that people have had no problems with?

Re: Pet Insurance you would recommend?
I would recommend pets at home (even though i hate the shop) their insurance is really good, cheapish cover but cover most things and paid out really quick with Harvey's claim

PAH won't insure Dempsey. Well, not for a reasinable sum anyway. I can't get a quote online & when I phoned they quoted me £66 per month! they say it's cause he was so expensive & he's not neutered.

Must admit when I was putting Tilly's details in I did it the first time and it came out as 20.xxp per month and when I did it for real it was 22.xxp per month and I couldnt see why so I phone d up then realised I'd put the buying prioce as 500 2nd time and 300 1st time and it made 2 per month difference. Explained to the guy on the phone if something that bad happened the last thing on my mind would be getting my money back
