Recommend me a.....
camera!
so, I'm on the look out for a new camera as I want more manual controls as apposed to just shoot and see, must have optical zoom, maybe the ability to add on things.
I have at the moment a Kodak easyshare Z915 it's crap, i only purchased it cause it was half price in argos.
I've had fuji's in the past and like that make.
So what do you have and what does it do?
And what would you recommend i buy next.

I like the Panasonic Lumix Range. You can point and shoot or play around with various settings, and they have quite a few models to choose from.

I have a fujifilm t200. It has 14 mega pixels 10x optical zoom and was reletively cheap for the greatness of it!

I don't use a camera, take all my pictures on my phone. I have a nokia n8 with 12mp camera so find that good enough!
We have a vivtar something or other though and that is quite good and very easy to use!

Re: Recommend me a.....
I would stick with Canon, Nikon or Olympus. All three of these companies only make photographic products and/or imaging products (printers etc) I have a little Canon Ixus that is awesome and my husband has a Nikon D90 DSLR. However, we had a new camera come into work a few weeks ago which is really good and I wouldn't mind getting for myself

The price is in $AUD, but is fairly reasonable for a really nice little camera that you can take anywhere and takes an above average quality photo. It has really good zoom, you can take HD video with it as well, it takes an SD card (same as your Kodak) and has a rechargeable battery (they're lithium-ion so last ages... you won't need to pack spare AA batteries!)... You can get a back up battery and it wouldn't set you back much, but I have never needed the one I purchased for my Canon. Go into some shops and ask to have a play with a few of there's. We have our cameras powered all the time so people can see what they're like
*** Sorry to have rattled on sooooooo much

Re: Recommend me a.....
I just did a fair bit of research when buying my new camera, I wanted something that was awesome quality and had fun features and good zoom but not as complicated as a DSLR. I got a fuji finepix f550 EXR and I think its great, read lots of reviews about the battery being terrible but I haven't had a problem, just gotta remember to turn the GPS off because that drains it.

I've got a wicked little point & shoot Nikon ... but I'm with Scubasteve, I cant be arsed to take it out all the time, so I use my phone (only 5mp) but pretty good quality for shots of Max out on walks
