Trixie Muzzle Loop???
Hi,
Has anyone tried the Trixie Muzzle Loop in their Staff? I've just ordered on for my little boy, it claims to be a Halti and muzzle all in one!! I wonder if this is a mirracle product or just good advertising????
Thanks
Lisa & Alfie

Re: Trixie Muzzle Loop???
Just had a look at this product on the Amazon site and I dont like this kind of muzzle (dont like them anyway really).
It doesn't look like it can allow your dog to pant properly or drink while wearing it.

I really don't like the look of it, tbh (just had a look), it doesn't look like the dog can pant properly or drink - if that's the case then it's cruel.

I have a basket muzzle, but think it looks very intimidating. Alfie isn't an aggressive dog, but he can be unpredictable with strange dogs (if they snap at him he sometimes loses the plot!!), so I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'll let you know when it arrives and what I think of it. Rest assured I would never put something on my boy that was uncomfortable or restricted panting or drinking properly.

I rreally wouldn't care what other people think of it. If a dog can't at least pant with it on, it shouldn't be put on at all.
It'll be interesting to see whether it gives the dog room to pant & drink when you get it.

Problem is with the loop is he can't pant properly and still DOES have the ability to bite. I have to use a basket muzzle as Chance is people aggressive and then there is no chance he can bite a child

Re: Trixie Muzzle Loop???
Well, it arrived today. I haven't yet tried to walk Alfie in it. I want to introduce it to him slowly. I have put in on and off him many times (with treats to make it fun). It doesn't seem to restrict him (he's still able to drink and eat treats). I'll let you know tomorrow when I've walked him, if he can pant properly and if it helps with pulling.

Baskerville have a new design. the Baskerville ultra. I have brought two for my dogs but haven't used them yet. However they are super light weight and look very good!

Re: Trixie Muzzle Loop???
Sorry for the late reply, I've had real troubles logging in (forgot my log in details)
To be entirely honest I only tried this on my boy twice. he looked so unhappy I gave up and did what I should have done in the first place.............spent time teaching him to walk on a lead properly!!!!
I will say the muzzle loop did stop pulling whilst allowing him to pant and take treats so I guess it would work in the right circumstances. I think it would deter a bite but definitely not as good as a muzzle for an aggressive dog. As Alfie is not aggressive just a little too keen at times I didn't persist with the loop as he looked so sad wearing it ( I just can't resist those "why mummy why" eyes!)

Re: Trixie Muzzle Loop???
I use a baskerville ultra with Lola. I have had a look at it and I don't think it would stop a bite. Lola only has her muzzle on if she is off lead.
