Sit, stand, sit, stand, I do, I do, sit, stand, sit, stand, kneel, stand, kneel, stand, sit, stand, cracker and whine, sit, stand, applaud, leave.

I feel like I was just at the gym!

You obviously don't go to church much! Laughing

It's no different to a normal sunday mass (other than the vows in the middle). Excercise is good for the soul! Big Grin

When I was 18 I went to a few Catholic services with my boyfriend and I was completely lost with what was going on, it was a bit like a workout Laughing . I grew up Protestant and the services are completely different.

As an atheist I can say that, no I do not go to catholic mass all that often... I also didn't eat the cracker dipped in wine, I just stayed seated because I felt like I should. Didn't do too much boozing tonight, but last night I was pretty tipsy. I do have some stories to tell when I get home and am on my computer instead of my phone. It's 2 am here, 3 am home time and I'm going to bed!!! Good night, all!

I've never heard of ashes being used in a baptism - only on Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. Odd.

So, looking back it wasn't really all that dramatic. It's just the fact that 3 out of 4 of OH's sisters don't like Saxon because they think he's a "pit bull" and they were apparently talking/complaining about him to OH's 4th sister who told me about it (because she loves Saxon). Really annoyed me and put a dark cloud over the whole weekend. Also, at breakfast on Saturday (the day of the wedding) one of OH's brothers walked up to me and said, "Are you ok!? You look sick!" Yeah... Thanks, Dave! Now I'm going to go out and buy a pound of make up to feel less self conscious!! Then there was the fact that no one told OH he'd need a jacket for the wedding till the morning of. So they were all freaking out at him about it and we had to find a suit. Luckily, we were in Chicago and not some small town!! It wasn't a terrible weekend, but I was stressed out and tense the whole time because of the few annoying incidents.

Just been told by 'the boss' that some Orthodox christians still use ash in baptisms - were the parents greek or russian or something?

That's interesting. I'd only ever seen it for Ash Wednesday. Is "the boss" code for God? Teehee, jk!!

How could anyone not love Saxon, he's gorgeous and smiling in every picture!
I had (past tense) a friend in PA who insisted that staffords were pit bulls, neither could be trusted and told me not to get one. Needless to say I chose the stafford over him and it was definitely the right choice Big Grin
