Took Tommy for his first walk today
Admittedly it wasn't a real walk but Tilly was desperate to get out so I tucked him in my coat and let him experience the big world outside. A few people saw us (probably though I'm a little mad) and made a fuss so hopefully if I carry this on now and again for the next couple of weeks he will be a little less scared when the real time comes, and we get some more lead time in the garden until then.

Aww cute!!
Good idea, at least he'll get used to the sounds/smells
Mind you, he might want his own coat to tuck up into when he does start walking after being so nice and cosy in yours!!

Its really good to get them used to new smells and surounds. I bet it helps to tire him out slightly also Xx

Only thing I am worried about a little bit is if he thinks he should be carried everywhere. He was a bit shakey though , but when I tried to bury him in my coat he kept fighting to stick his hed back out , and he didn't wee on me and did a massive one when he got home.
My OH has one of them things to carry babies on your back with a rain cover on , I'm thinking that maybe I'll put that on and we will go for a big walk at the weekend or do you think I'm being daft

I think you've turned into the crazy Staffy man
Go for it if you want too, I can't see it doing any harm as long as you don't mind carrying him around Xx

I've always been a little bit mad , but you should see my OH , when she's been stuck for a lift in the past , I've known her to go down Morrisons , ask to borrow the trolley and wheel her shopping home in it , now I'm no snob but we live on a private estate about 15 mins walk from Morrisons , god does that make me cringe

I think thats very sensible
Once you've unloaded the shopping you can have trolley races

We must all be completely mad I have a cagoule with a large pocket at the front for walking the dogs so before Bella was finished with her injections I sat her in the pocket when I was walking Millie. I did get a few strange looks
